A look back at 2012

WOW! Here we are - last day of 2012... what a year it has been! Lots of tears, laughter, excitement, joy and love. 2012 was an AMAZING year for me and my family! Looking back, I cannot believe how much James has grown - CRAZY!

We celebrated Jimbo's second birthday with all our friends and family. I can't seem to do a small party... I don't think this year will be any different!

We did our annual family photo session with Mrs. J - I loved the way these ones turned out. Chris said that for 2013 we should wait till it's sunny and warm out...well that's not going to happen! I've got a time booked for January 13th 2013!

February 17th 2012 - WE ARE PREGNANT! After our loss in 2011 we quickly became pregnant again. SUPER excited and nervous at the same time!

In June we found out we were going to be adding another little boy to our family. We would call him Graham Malcolm. We also decided that we would birth at home!

Jimbo and I spent as much time together as we could before Baby Graham came. It brings a tear to my eye - he has grown so much this past year.

October 29th - GRAHAM IS HERE! After a short 4 hour labor my 'little' man made his appearance at home with our Midwives!

I'm sad to see 2012 go - but am excited to see what 2013 has in store for me!

Hope you all have a wonderful New Year and I will see you all in 2013!

Much love
xoxo

Graham at 2 months

Wow! Another month has flown by! Christmas came and went - and here we are... Graham is two months old!!

We went for our final appointment with the Midwives on December 20th, and I must say - it was bittersweet. The ladies at Sage - were AMAZING, helpful, informative and I can truly say I love each and every one of them. My birth experience was everything I hoped for and more. But it was also sad knowing that - that was it. No more babies for us.

But that's ok!

So here are some of Graham's stats (As of December 20th 2012)

Weight: 13 lbs 2 oz - that's 2 lbs in 3 weeks!
Height: 23.5 inches - 1.5 inches since birth
Head Circumference: 15.75 inches - BIG noggin'

Graham is still nursing every 1.5 - 2 hours during the day. Sometimes a lot more closer together. He really likes to cluster feed. The boy is a boobie monster! He goes about 3 - 3.5 hours a night - then is up every 1.5 - 2 hours after that. I'm used to it now. We have gone as long as 5 hours but those nights are few and far between.

We are still bed sharing - and plan to until Graham is four months old. We will then transition him to his pack and play then to his crib. It's SO much easier to nurse him at night while in bed. He nurses so much and so often that it just makes sense for us to bed share right now. Plus I love the cuddles!

I bought a Baby K'Tan a few weeks back and it has been great when Graham wants to be held- but we were also gifted a bouncer chair and Graham will sit in it for about 20 minutes at a time. He must have a full belly, and a dry diaper in order to do this. hehe. He also got a play mat for Christmas and he doesn't mind it - but again - he likes to be upright and in someones arms.

SMILE!

Graham loves to smile! And I must say - he is the cutest thing EVER!! Smiles started around 5 weeks and he now smiles when asked. We have a few coo's and small what I would call 'giggles' but we are still waiting for that sure fire 'giggle' from him.

Clothing/Diapers

SO SAD! I have now put away all my newborn and 3 month clothing. It was a very hard thing to do - knowing that I will never put those on another one of my babies. The newborn size went away 3 days after he was born - the 3 month went away last week!

Graham is now wearing some 3-6 month clothing as well as 6 month stuff. It depends on the brand but most of it is 6 months. We have also outgrown ALL our newborn diapers and he is now fitting into the one size diapers nicely. We just received our 24 GlowBugs that I won over at Formula Mom a while back. I cannot wait to see them on him.

Another great thing is his hair is growing back! G was born with a think layer of dark hair, but it started to fall out! Now it's growing back in blond and THICK! As are his eyelashes! Yay!

My little man is growing so fast! I don't want to blink as I am afraid I will miss something. He brings us so much joy and I can't imagine my life without him. I just love him so much.

Much love

Here are some shots from first Christmas as a family of four. Of course the boys were spoiled (as was I) but all in all it was a GREAT Christmas. We have a lot to be thankful for!

What's coming up!

I needed to write this down so I don't forget and because Jimmy keeps stealing my paper!

I have a few reviews and giveaways that I am working on! After these are posted and winners are selected I am going to stop. Since Graham came along I feel like I have neglected the blog and then when I get going I feel like I have neglected my children.

While I will still blog and what not - my reviews and giveaways will stop - unless it's something that I am SUPER excited about. I need to spend time with my boys - and Graham is the type of child who needs my attention ALL THE TIME!

So what's coming up??

I have a review and giveaway for The Little Cleaning Box - this one is cool. I'm really excited about it.

James is doing a review on his new book "The Kaleidoscope Kids" - he LOVES this book and I can't wait to share it with you all.

I am also working on my MailPix review and there will be a giveaway to go along with it!

I if I am not mistaken I will also be reviewing the NEW Wiggles DVD - well James and Graham will be!

So, I think that is it. After these are posted that will be it for a while.

Time to get to work!

Much love
xoxo

#achdecember - Tradition Day 22

We decided it was time to get the boys picture taken with Santa. Jimbo has gone every year - we were cutting it close this year. Usually Chris took James as I HATE standing in line ups for stuff like this - but this year was different as we have both boys and Graham doesn't like to be away from me at all!

We got to the mall around 10:15 ish - FIRST OFF - Get there early. There was already a long line up. Graham was cozy in the K'Tan and Jimbo was in the stroller, playing on Chris' phone. James was very excited to see Santa Tause - he wanted to tell him he wanted 5 toys. Yes FIVE!

We were told we would be waiting at least an hour to see him - UGH! But again it was ok. Graham was sleeping soundly and James was content playing. I grabbed a tea and settled in.

About 45 minutes in Graham woke up and needed to be nursed. There were NO benches open for me to sit down - so I went up to Motherhood Maternity to sit in there. I knew they had a change room with a nice cozy bench. Then Chris took Graham to get changed while I stayed with James. He got back just in time too... It was FINALLY our turn to see Santa. James went running up to him saying "HI SANTA!" but as soon as he saw the camera in front of him - shit hit the holiday fan!

James freaked right out. Instantly crying and went running in the other direction. Graham started crying... OH MY LORD!

Santa said he could sneak up behind us so he was still in the picture, but James couldn't see him. Easy right? NOPE! Chris and I both sat down thinking the boys would be more calm since it was us - yeah nope again James wanted NOTHING to do with this...

As you can see - our first real FAMILY photo is one to be displayed throughout the year! Needless to say Chris and I paid for the photos and got the hell out of there - let's hope next years photo will be just as good!

Merry Christmas!!
