AppleCheeks Review

On my journey through cloth diapering I have come across some brands that I really really wanted to try, but couldn't due to lack of funds. I'll admit most of my diaper stash I have won through blog and faceboook giveaways. There was one Canadian brand that I was DYING to try, but could fork out the 29.00 for the little bundle. After entering numerous giveaway for this diaper and never winning, I finally had won a diaper and insert!!

My next review is on the Canadian owned and operated AppleCheeks!!

I received a Cherry Tomato envelope cover and insert. (A little Bundle) I was so excited when I got it I washed it up right away and put it to work! Even after one wash it held up to J's heavy wetting ways!

My first impression of this diaper, was that I loved how soft the cover was. The rounded tabs are esthetically pleasing and I really like the snap placement.  I also really liked the front elastic. I got a great fit on J and he still has room to grow into it. (he's at 30lbs now)

Inside = SUPER SOFT

 This is one of the only diapers that do not leave red marks on J. I have a few brands that do and I hate it, but the AppleCheeks diaper has soft elastic and no red marks are left behind!! The pocket opening is different from all my other diapers and I can't really say how I feel about it. I'm sort of 50/50. It a generous size (hubby can stuff this one with no issues) and there is no chance that the insert could poke out a little at the front or back. But I have left the insert in and it hasn't agitated out in the wash, thus making me wash it again with the next diaper load.

Now when it comes to the insert, I have to say that I am in LOVE with them! They are super super soft and VERY absorbent! The inserts are made of 70% Viscose from Bamboo and 30% Organic Cotton. (and may I note that they are also MADE in Canada!) You can either stuff the pocket or you can simply lay the insert on top of the cover and if the cover isn't soiled you can reuse it!

Overall, I really really like this diaper. I am happy to say that it is made in Canada which it a plus for me. I just like supporting Canadian companies. The only down side is that they are a little expensive. But again you get what you pay for.This is a quality diaper so for most it's totally worth it. I wish I had more and maybe in the future I will get a few more. I really love their new prints that just came out so I am saving to purchase one of them.

I don't have any action shots of this diaper as J will not sit still. I will try to get some and post them at a later time. The fit really is wonderful, and it looks SO cute on his little bum.
